Our Classes

Eggies – 3 months – 18 months

Stimulation exercises are done daily to form the brain paths for specific skills.

Massaging our babies daily we stimulate their central nervous system helping them to relax and be more comfortable in their surroundings. By focusing on grasp and fine motor development we ensure that baby reaches his/her milestones. This is done through well planned Gross Motor Games / activities, sensory activities and Baby Aerobics.

Caterpillars – 18 months – 3 years

  • Interesting weekly themes.
  • Mathematical skills are introduced in a concrete manner, thereafter semi- concrete and abstract. Good foundations of mathematical skills are vital in their development.
  • Communication, language development, attention span and listening skills are strengthened on talking to each child, looking at books, learning rhymes and songs and reading books.
  • We provide many opportunities to improve movement 9gross motor) and manipulative (fine motor) skills through the child’s playful multi-sensory exploration of the environment.

Chrysalis Juniors – 3-4 years, Chrysalis Seniors – 4-5 years, Butterflies – Grade R

A weekly theme with a play based programme is followed which covers all early learning developmental areas as recommended in the National Curriculum Framework and CAPS and these are done through activities enjoyed both indoors and outdoors.  A common thread running through our preschool activities is giving the child the opportunity to develop the following 21st century skills which have been identified as crucial for coping with the future:

  • Critical thinking
  • Collaboration
  • Creativity
  • Communication

The curriculum is implemented through activities such as art, music, movement, books, stories, science, maths, pre-coding and digital literacy, sensory play, fantasy play, block and other construction play etc.
